Today, more than three decades later, this competition remains a hallmark for recognizing outstanding innovation management in Germany. compamedia GmbH collaborates closely with Viennese innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team, who crafted the evaluation criteria at the Austrian University of Economics and Business.

Methodological insights
To ensure parity, the TOP 100 seal is categorically conferred across three employee size brackets: up to 50, 51 to 200, and exceeding 200. In the 31st iteration of this innovation crucible, 388 mid-sized enterprises vied for distinction, with 287 clinching the TOP 100 seal of approval effective February 1, 2024. Each size bracket accommodates a maximum of 100 laureates.
