The DALI-2 Incremental encoder plus is a DALI-2 multi-master control device. It is used to set the brightness of luminaires with a DALI-2 interface and to set the colour temperature for DALI operating devices of device type 8 (Tunable White). In normal operating mode as a DALI-2 Multi-Master Application Controller, the function always applies to all connected devices (broadcast). With the individual DALI-2 parameterisation, it is possible to configure the device for DALI group control (DALI groups 1-16) and operate up to four devices in parallel to control the ballasts from different locations. Configured as a DALI-2 input device (in this case the DALI-2 application controller is deactivated), it is possible to connect the product to a building automation gateway (e.g. KNX DALI-2 Gateway) to indirectly control DALI operating devices or devices as part of the connected building automation system.
